SPRING is My Favorite Time of Year
That's the time that the flowers sprout, the song birds are on my feeder, and the pollinators are back. I love watching the bees buzz from bloom to bloom and the butterflies fluttering about.
When we first moved into our house, I had close to a dozen butterflies on my butterfly bush all the time. The hummingbirds were fighting over my feeders. I have noticed over the last few years the amount of pollinators in my yard has dwindled.
While researching how to bring the bees and butterflies back to my yard, I found the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation. They are the largest pollinator conservation in the world. They work with others to create habitats for bees, butterflies, and other insects. Xerces Society has helped mass-produce the largest milkweed distribution for monarch butterfly habitat restoration.
One of my missions is to help give back to nature. This year I will be planting wildflowers that are specifically chosen for pollinators. I will be adding more garden beds and plan to add a couple fruit trees to my yard.
You Can Help Too!
Every purchase made, I will include a packet of flower seeds that has been specially chosen for pollinators. I am hoping you will help by planting some seeds too.
